Hello. This is modo.
Modo stands for -modulating oscillators- and is basically a midi CC-sequencer. In detail, the sequencer try to mimic a LFO behaviour with ability to modulate each other. It let you create fancy animation curves, you wouldn’t want to draw these by hand.
Modo is designed for preproduction of sounds and animating parameter in Live or any Max patch. It could also run alongsinde with your favorite sequencing applications like mlr, molar, pages, polygome, tintinnabulome, souyz, hmm, ok is enough.. Here a few main characteristics:
- AM- modulation of Midi CC data
- drawing LFO shapes on monome
- nice cryptic interface
- some new fun approaches on UI
One of the main goals of this patch (and the hardest) was to create a sophisticated layout on the monome. An easy to use, space-saving but luxurious and at least cryptic interface. The interaction with the patch is very important to me, and I tried to use only symbolic signs for different logical functons.
It took quite a lot of time of my dark hours to realize that 8-/ But now I like the way the things are organized, and I can concentrate more on the technical side of the patch. Many features are planned and before I go too much into programming detail, I want just to make the -first- run. And here is what I have so far:
